Hey everyone. Welcome to the blog!
Salut toute le monde. Bienvenue au blog!
Now that I am making all my travel plans, I'm getting excited (and a little nervous)! I don't know about everyone else, but this will be my first time going to Europe. I thought that it would great to have a place to share our experiences before, during, and even after the month abroad. I hope that we can all contribute and find value in this.
Some tips to help keep the blog organized and easy to read:
If someone starts a thought or thread, and you want to respond to it or comment on it or offer your own perspectives, do so by adding a comment to the original post. For example, you can expect that the comments attached to this post will focus on the welcome and any questions about the blog.
So, feel free to add your thoughts or ideas about the blog as a comment on the original post, instead of responding with a new post. To view the comments click on the title of the post. If you want to add a comment, click on the word 'comments' with the little pencil next to it.
Anyone can post a new idea or topic (look at the very top of the page for 'new post'), and I won't be micromanaging contributions. I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the comments and how they work. (I would assume that everyone already knows this, but we all know what is said about making assumptions).
One other thing to be aware of is that this blog can be read by anyone. So, ensure you keep FOIPP (other's privacy) in mind while you are making your contributions. And, not to censor anyone but please use appropriate language. It is ok to express frustration when necessary, but please put it in that context by saying “I am frustrated…” or “this is a rant/vent…”I think that covers the logistics, if anyone is having technical problems, feel free to click on my name and find my email there, and I will do my best to help.
Post and comment away!

Hi Amber! good idea creating this blog! I've travelled to Europe(Italy and France) for 10 days when I was in high school. It was a great experience and I wish I could have stayed there for longer. Needless to say, I can't wait to go to France!!!
