Ok, well it's been awhile and it's almost time to go!
1) Still gotta pay Amber M.
2) Travelling companions Shawna and Amber Y. - our flight leaves at 1:00pm yes? Should we meet at the airport at 11am? Is 2h early good enough?
3) Are we gonna figure out our train thing when we're in Paris?
4) $$ - Ok, so I found that stapled package of stuff from that day we had to go to that mandatory meeting, and it said for withdrawing cash make sure it's from a chequing account?! It can't be savings? Money worries me.
5) Anything else before we leave??

hey sophie..i thought our flight left at 2? maybe we can meet at 11:30 at the air canada check-in counter..i went to europe a couple years ago and i never had any problems withdrawing money from a savings account..

Did you guys end up meeting last week?
If not, do we still want to try to meet this week or is everyone way too busy?
1)It'd just been nice to chat about plans in Paris and it makes sense for me to get money from most of you all at once rather than individually.
3) Yeah. Jenni suggested buying our train ticket to Lille as soon as we arrive in Paris. Then, we can call/email the organizers at Lille to tell them exactly when we'll be there. I though that sounded good to me.
4) Sophie, did you call your bank and talk to them? You should tell them that you'll be using your card in Europe and while your at it, they should tell you if this will pose a problem or not withdrawing from your savings account.
5) What's everyone bringing for luggage? Rolling backpacks? Backpacks? Luggage set on rollers? Duffel bag? I'm just curious.
Hey. Shauna, take a look at your ticket, I thought we left at 2:00 as well, but I think our ticket says we leave at "13:00". And as for Luggage. I am bringing a packpack, but it's a pack that I can hide away the straps so that they dpon't get ripped up by the airlines. Oh and, I jsut got an e-mail that has a booklet thing for a summer program, I am really opeing that it is only for the American's. Please tell me that it is!! And do we have to bring anyu text books?? If that booklet is for the AMerican's, then they have to bring one. I was just curious . . .

As long as your savings is your main account (double check with your bank for this) then you should have no problem, I used my savings last time I was there.
I don't know if we're going to really be able to meet up this week... crazy. Amber, can I throw 20 Euro your way when we are all in Paris to cover what's left.
I won't be arriving till the day after you guys but if you are buying tickets when you arrive in Paris can someone buy an extra one for me and I will pay them back when I get there Monday, just so we can all leave together?!?!
Keep an eye on your emails cause I'll forward off the info that was posted on the yahoo group about contacting the University after we buy our train ticket.

i'm ok for meeting this week if everyone is free, except for wednesday.
Thanks for the bank information you guys! Also, i didn't get any email with summer program stuff... I'm pretty sure that they told us that all our books would be provided.
And for luggage, I have this big... duffel-like backpack thing which I love dearly! I don't think i would suggest rolling things, cause I think it'd be hard to roll them; whether b/c of uneven pavement or if we're on the train/metro etc.
ok I checked the ticket and it is 2:00..I don't know where I got 1pm in my mind. anyways, I think 11 is a good time to meet... I don't think I can meet with any of you this week, I'm really busy...Amber m, I hope that's alright if I can pay you in Paris..and I'm bringing a luggage set with rollers..5 more days!!
Alright, we are all crazy busy...so here's what I need you guys to have ready when we get to Paris:
CAR 80Euro/5 =16 Euro each
Shawna, Sophie and Alyssa: $17 CAD for rest of rent + 16 EURO for the car
Amber Y: Just 16 Euro for the car
Jenni: Just $17 CAD when you come on Monday. However, if you FEEL like giving me 20 Euro I won't be upset ;)
If we are able to buy your ticket for you, I could do that. But I thought that you needed ID and so forth to purchase a ticket. Anyone know for sure about this. Jenni could you check this and let me know?
The car will be meeting Alyssa and I by our gate at 11am PARIS TIME. We are both on Flight AC880 from Toronto and will arrive at 10am.
So, I think it would probably be easiest for you three to meet us at our gate. (That's why I gave us an hour before they pick us up.)
Also, people staying in the apartment, I'm sending out an updated copy of the directions to, address of and access info for the place. You should print it and have it on you for customs and in case anything goes wrong.

Hey ladies!! It sounds like everyone is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. But hey, I just looked at my flight tickets again, and AMber M, I think Shauna, Sopbhie and I are on the same flight as you out of toronto, we are in Air Canada Flight #880A!! Yay! Perhaps there is no searching for each other needed. Yay! And Shauna, you are seriously confusing me, my ticket says 13:00, which is 1:00 p.m. And you just said yours is for 2:00. Oh and I talked to my aunt, and A friend of hers went on Vacation a few weeks ago, and she almost missed her flight even though she went 2 hours early, just because the airport was so packed! Do you maybe think we should go a little earlier than 11:00?
